FAQ

Things people ask before they sign up.

How do you count a “session”?
A session is one continuous conversation with a visitor — voice or text. Two minutes or twenty, it counts the same. Idle, abandoned, or sub-10-second sessions don't count against your limit.
What's the difference between an AI Agent and a Tap In seat?
Your AI Agent is the autonomous demo agent running on your site — it talks to every visitor. Tap In seats are for your human closers. They're licensed per teammate so a real person can drop into a live session over video when the AI Agent escalates.
What happens if I exceed my session quota?
Nothing breaks — overage sessions are billed at $0.04 each on Pro, or pre-negotiated on Enterprise. We'll email you well before that point so you can upgrade or set a hard cap.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes, any time. Switching to yearly gives you the 20% discount immediately and prorates your remaining month. Going monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual term.
What sites does it work on?
Any web app — React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, Rails, Django, plain HTML, WordPress. If it runs in a browser, DemoSherpa can drive it. Native mobile is on the roadmap, not shipping yet.
Do visitors need to sign up to use it?
No. Visitors hit the widget anonymously — no login, no email gate. You decide later in the conversation when (or if) to capture contact info.
Is voice and conversation data secure?
Audio is processed in real time and not stored by default. Transcripts are encrypted at rest and scoped to your workspace. Enterprise plans get bring-your-own-key (BYOK), private LLM routing, and a signed BAA on request.
